- # [23:12] <csarven> rel="contact" is generally attributed to someone that we have at least a "lowest form of friendship" with. It would also be someone that we don't dislike e.g., blackhat SEO expert. Right? I've found http://microformats.org/wiki/xfn-clarifications#is_contact_a_better_lowest_common_denominator but is this better documented elsewhere? I had 'Subscribers list' at http://identi.ca/csarven as example in mind.
- # [23:33] <singpolyma> csarven: I think a "contact" is just higher than "acquaintance". It's "someone I contact sometimes"
- # [23:33] * Quits: ntoll (~ntoll@88-110-171-9.dynamic.dsl.as9105.com) (Quit: this is not a quit message)
- # [23:34] <csarven> What about any arbitrary person that might subscribe/follow you. Would you declare them as your contact?
- # [23:35] <csarven> I'm thinking that it is generally for someone that you are okay with.
- # [23:36] <singpolyma> I'd say that's rev="contact"
- # [23:36] <csarven> I think so too
- # [23:37] <csarven> I think what I had up in StatusNet is incorrect for this particular case
- # [23:37] <singpolyma> I still publish rev, even on my HTML5 pages. I really don't care if they thing they want to take it out, I like it
- # [23:40] <csarven> I wonder if microformats mailman is working ok. I've sent an email to discuss list but it hasn't showed up yet at http://microformats.org/discuss/mail/microformats-discuss/2010-March/thread.html
- # [23:41] <singpolyma> Not sure
- # Session Close: Wed Apr 07 00:00:00 2010
The end :)
